Town Title Celebrates 20 Years in Business

Town Title Celebrates 20 Years in Business

As 2022 draws to an end, we’d like to take the time to look back on another successful year at Town Title Agency. We celebrated 20 years in the business this year, and it has been a blessing to look back and reflect on our growth over the past two decades.

On the business side, we finished 2022 strong, insuring and managing the $150,000,000 restructuring of a retail net lease portfolio, which consisted of 30 properties throughout 16 states. This transaction capped off a year of 1,200+ transactions totaling over $1.33 billion.

We continued to grow our commercial portfolio, managing the purchase of three Amazon warehouses throughout the year.

  • $22,300,000 purchase of a 49,500 square-foot facility in Tucson, AZ
  • $19,750,000 purchase of a 130,000 square-foot facility in Salem, OR, and
  • $9,746,900 purchase of a 80,000 square-foot facility in Frankfort, NY

Our healthcare portfolio expanded as we coordinated the $15,900,000 purchase of the Rochester Regional Health Center in Geneseo, NY, the $8,300,000 purchase of the State of Maine Department of Health & Human Services building in Bangor, ME, and a $3,500,000 purchase of the former DMH Shelbyville Medical Center facility in Shelbyville, IL among many others.

Our geographical footprint also continued to grow. Town Title handled the $6,200,000 purchase of the Aurora Healthcare Center in Kenosha, WI, an Express Oil Change in Navarre, FL, for $4,721,000, and the $32,000,000 purchase of the Lab School of Washington in Washington, DC.

However, we made sure to keep our footprint in Jersey strong, handling the $30,000,000 purchase of the Hyatt Place in Fort Lee, NJ, the $14,033,316 refinancing of two neighboring properties in Shrewsbury, NJ, and expanding our automotive dealership portfolio with the $13,260,000 refinancing of Nissan World in Springfield, NJ. We also handled the $20,000,000 purchase of an industrial land site in Budd Lake, NJ, and a multi-property portfolio in East Orange, NJ, for $15,550,000.

Of course, we couldn’t end the year without adding at least one Family Dollar transaction to our list, coordinating the $2,140,375 purchase of a storefront in Martinsburg, PA. We also expanded our CVS Pharmacy transactions, handling the purchases of three separate storefronts in NH, CA, and FL for a total of $14,686,144.

Other notable big-name transactions include Tractor Supply Co., Starbucks, 7Eleven, Walgreens, and ShopRite.

Philanthropically, The Town Title Foundation has continued to be a huge success. Just this year, the Town Title Foundation donated more than $200,000 to local organizations that benefit our communities.

Most recently, we established The Town Title Foundation Spendable Scholarship for Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business. This year’s recipient, Peter Chang, is an accounting and finance major who, among many things, also works as an analyst at Hall Street Fund researching potential investments with the company.

Finally, we are approaching the one-million-dollar mark in total donations from our 7th annual Town Title Golf Outing. That alone has helped to fund over 100 Tackle Kids Cancer clinical trials and raised money for the Inserra Diabetes Research Fund and the Caryl and Jim Kourgelis Fund for The Center for Behavioral Health and Medicine.

We also had these accomplishments to celebrate:

  • Town Title Agency is now licensed to write title insurance in 15 states: DE, IL, IN, KY, MA, ME, NC, NH, NJ, NY, RI, SC, VT, WI, WV
  • Town Title was featured in Real Estate NJ‘s 2022 ‘Professional Spotlight’ as one of New Jersey’s top title insurance agencies in New Jersey for Commercial Real Estate
  • We joined the Metaverse! Town Title NFTs are now available on OpenSea
  • Our Executive Vice President, Christopher Rotio, shared his expertise on upside-down mortgages on CNBC

We closed the year out with our annual Christmas party, which was an incredible event! We could think of no better way to celebrate our very special 20th year in business. Thank you for two incredible decades!
