Cheers to Another Incredible Year!

With 2020 now behind us, we get to bid farewell to a remarkably eventful year, and start looking toward the future. From the pandemic to one of the most active real estate markets we’ve seen in a long time, 2020 was certainly a year for the history books.

Before we go any further, we would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our first responders and frontline workers – particularly the doctors, nurses and staff at Hackensack University Medical Center – for working so hard to keep us all safe and healthy over the last several months. And as always, thank YOU, our clients, employees and friends, for your continued loyalty and patronage. We are truly humbled by your unwavering support.

Over this past year, as we navigated the many unknowns and uncertainties thrown at us by COVID-19, our work never slowed down – a fact that we certainly do not take for granted. As individuals and families began moving out of the cities and into the suburbs in record numbers, and as mortgage rates hit all-time lows, we were there to ensure the integrity of thousands of residential purchase and refinance transactions. We built new relationships, and we continued to strengthen our existing ones with many of the commercial clients we’re lucky enough to call friends. In total, we insured 1,134 transactions totaling over $913mm in 2020.

Outside the office, we remained steadfast in our commitment to our #TownTitleGivesBack initiative and to supporting the incredible programs offered at Hackensack University Medical Center, particularly Tackle Kids Cancer, the Inserra Diabetes Research Fund, and, for the first time this year, the Caryl and Jim Kourgelis Fund for the Center for Behavioral Health and Medicine. In September, we hosted our fifth annual golf outing, where we honored Lindsey Inserra, vice president of health and wellness and marketing at Inserra Supermarkets, for her incredible work in the diabetes community; and we raised over $125,000 for HUMC – bringing our five-year total to $420,000.

With all of the successes we saw in 2020, there was much to celebrate.

  • Our agency was recognized as a Top 10 Agent in New Jersey by First American Title for the fourth consecutive year. This year, we ranked 4th out of a pool of 275 agents in the total dollar amount insured with First American as its underwriter in 2020.
  • One member of our team, Executive VP Christopher Rotio, was named Executive of Month in December by the New York Real Estate Journal. In case you missed it, click here to read the full interview.
  • We had the opportunity to establish an internship program, and we welcomed three students from the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University – Isabelle Franco, Nicholas Giardina, and Valeria Syanchuk – for the 2020-21 school year.
  • We were featured across several news outlets, including News 12 New Jersey, the Mann ReportPatch.comBC the Mag, and the Jewish Standard.

One final note before we let you go: Over the last couple of months, we quietly established the Town Title Foundation, the new umbrella organization for #TownTitleGivesBack. While we’re not ready to share too many details just yet, we encourage you to stay tuned for the official introduction to the Foundation over the coming weeks.

As we embark into 2021 and beyond, we look forward to another great year at Town Title Agency. For all of the latest agency updates, and to stay informed of our featured deals, notable transactions and other noteworthy highlights, follow us on FacebookTwitterInstagram and LinkedIn.

Thank you, as always, for allowing us to continue to serve you. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
